Favorite as insurance betting strategy has been used by many
punters with incredible success. What it means is that you do two bets in which
you repeat one team that is a huge favorite. The favorite is combined with
different teams in each of the bets, ensuring that it works as your insurance.
In this strategy, the favorite must be a team you are completely confident will
win.
Example:
Bet A: Chelsea win, West Brom win
Bet B: Chelsea win, Bournemouth win
In the two bets, Chelsea is your insurance, the favorite you
are sure will win. West Brom is a team with outside chance of winning and comes
with good value, making Bet A worthy of big return. Bournemouth in Bet B is
also a team with an outside chance of winning and good value odds.
So if you are investing Ksh 100 per bet, with Chelsea win
@1.50, West Brom win @ 2.20 and Bournemouth win @2.10, your bets will return:
Bet A: Chelsea win and West Brom win; 1.5 X 2.20 X 100,
which gives Ksh 330
Bet B: Chelsea win and Bournemouth win, 1.5 X 2.10 X 100,
which gives Ksh 315
The most important thing in this betting strategy is that
your favorite (banker) must win. If the favorite does not win, you lose both
bets.
